EXPERIENCE DAYS
I have received many favourable comments on my fused glass art work and have been asked numerous times “how do you make it?” and “do you run classes?”. I am therefore delighted to offer a choice of fused glass Experience Days where you can learn the basic techniques and make your own fused glass art work.
My Experience Days require no prior experience, offer you the opportunity to get creative, are designed to be enjoyable & relaxed, and enable you to experiment with different glass shapes, sizes & colours to make your own art pieces. Upon completion, you have the experience and satisfaction of creating your own unique designs!
Experience Days are also a great way to bring people together and get creative. Whether it is for a birthday or some other celebration, please mention Group Experience Day in your enquiry message and I will get in touch to discuss your specific requirements.
All Experience Days have the following in common:
Require a minimum of two people and a maximum of four
Held outside at my home in Casares Costa and are run by me personally
Start with refreshments and an informative chat about working with glass in general
A brief overview of design concepts suitable for the available time is then given
The day ends with further refreshments, during which time your feedback on the experience will be sought
Your work will then be fired and may be collected approx. 1-2 weeks later
The cost includes all tuition, materials, tools, safety equipment, firing costs and refreshments
Create your own glass art dream…
Taster Experience Day
This Experience Day runs from 10:30 to 13:30 (3-hour duration). Following the introduction, you will have approx. 2 hours to make 1 or 2 pieces of glass art under my supervision and guidance.
For example, you could make a tealight holder and/or a suncatcher and/or a small wall piece. Or, if you prefer, you could make one larger wall piece that could be hung or framed (if the latter, you will need to provide the frame).
Cost: 50€
Artistic Experience Day
This Experience Day runs from 10:30 to 16:00 (5½ hour duration). Following the introduction, you will be provided with a piece of glass 25cm x 25cm in size. With this you will be able to make, under my supervision and guidance, one large picture OR it may be cut up to make a number of smaller pieces.
For example, 4 x tealight holders OR 2 x pictures (12.5cm x 12.5cm) OR 1 x picture (12.5cm x 12.5cm) and 2 x tealight holders… the choice is yours! Pictures may be hung or framed (if the latter, you will need to provide the frame).
Midway through the day there will be a break for refreshments.
