Abstract Fun

This week has been a “fun week” for me. I’ve seen quite a few friends and had a good laugh, which always makes me feel good! I have also enjoyed sitting in my craft room experimenting with a variety of glass odds & ends.

In the past, I have made many abstract fused glass art pieces (that can be viewed here on my website) and have found that they sell very well, as not everyone wants a floral or sea scene! So, this week has also been an “abstract week” for me!

Fresh out of my kiln today…

I am really pleased with my pink & purple abstract picture, which has a matching large tealight. I have also made a large red & crystal abstract tealight to accompany a picture I made a while ago. All these pieces are shown below and can also be found in the Abstract Designs section of my Online Gallery.

Another characteristic of abstract fused glass art is that it is easier for a novice to make on a ValerieAnn Experience Day as the glass cutting doesn’t have to be as accurate 😊.

As I said, this week has been a “fun week” for me and on Saturday 10th May the Vecinos y Amigos Club in San Luis de Sabinillas are holding their Fun/Open Day from 12 noon onwards (see poster below). Everyone is welcome – you don’t have to be a member.

There will be music, drinks & coffee, plus yummy cakes to eat in or take away. And, of course, there will be loads of BARGAINS to be had on the Bric-a-Brac table as well as on the rail of Pre-Loved clothes.

Don’t miss out!
