Abstract Fun!

Over the past month I have been experimenting with variations of coloured glass to make interesting abstract designs. I have really enjoyed myself and have been delighted with the end results 😊.

I was particularly pleased with my Green & Navy Abstract design, which I used on three separate pieces. The largest of these pieces was a 30cm clear glass circle supporting a curved version of the design and mounted on a matt black steel stand. I also produced a rectangular piece, which I have mounted on a wooden stand, plus a large tealight. The light shining through these abstract multi-coloured designs produces a wonderful effect.

This week the White Square Art Gallery at Plaza Blanca, Sotogrande held an exhibition to promote work by the artist Jane Langdon (the “El Bosque” collection). The evening also provided the opportunity to celebrate the gallery’s first anniversary in Plaza Blanca.

Congratulations to Gill Welland and well done to everyone involved in putting on a splendid evening. It was wonderful to be able to walk around and view work by other artists too, and to be able to talk to them personally.

As mentioned in my previous blog, I am also showing some of my unique fused glass art at the White Square Art Gallery. I was very encouraged by the interest in my work; several visitors to the exhibition asked me how I work with glass and how I produce my pieces, which I was happy to explain.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening thanks to Gill, Jaqueline, Jane and the rest of the team.
