Relaxation!
Something that many of us do not make enough time for! There is always so much to do in the everyday running of our homes and lives.
As my craft room has now been finished and kitted out with all my fused glass art materials, equipment and kiln, I have promised myself that I will relax each day in my “own space”, happily creating some beautiful and interesting fused glass art pieces. Sounds an okay thing to do but often it doesn’t turn out like that. However, “that’s life” as the saying goes!
For example, creating the website for my ValerieAnn brand was very time-consuming but, judging by the many lovely comments I have received, it now seems all worthwhile.
Today, I’m being “creative” with a picture of a seahorse. I have to say, I’m having fun and relaxing! I am hoping it will be ready to fire in a few days’ time. I have produced seahorse pictures before – there is an orange underwater scene (VA240069) in my Seascapes Collection on my website. The one I am working on now is mainly set in blue tones and is also larger.
Returning to my theme on relaxation, I look back to a few weeks ago when I really needed to have some “time out” for my body & mind. I recalled seeing a Facebook advert from Linda Perryman for a one-day Villa Retreat in Gaucin. I loved the sound of it – spending a peaceful day in a fabulous villa enjoying meditation, relaxation and a nourishing homemade lunch – it sounded wonderful and just what I needed.
And it was! I enjoyed every single minute and I will definitely attend another Retreat Day in the not-too-distant future. FYI, Linda’s next Retreat Day is on 26th April.
Well, must go now as I can hear my seahorse calling to be finished!
