Little Pleasures
Often people would like to purchase a small gift for a friend’s birthday etc. A pretty little thing that can be used and admired whilst affordable at a reasonable price.
Therefore, when I started showing my fused glass art work at Craft Fayres, I made many tealights in a variety of colours and designs. These quickly became my “top sellers”, priced around 10-15€ so they made an interesting but not too pricy a present to buy.
I then expanded into making necklaces, both small ones and larger-sized ones. These were sold with either a chain or a cord and presented in a pretty box.
Lately, I have added suncatchers to my collection of “Little Pleasures”. These can be hung on a ribbon or cord from a branch of a tree/plant. They also look pretty hung inside on, for example, a curtain pole. Indeed, anywhere the sun catches the coloured glass to make them sparkle!
I have found that on my Experience Days the most popular items that people want to make are tealights and suncatchers, often in the same design so they make a matching set. These then make a nice present for a friend, or for you to admire your craft skills at home.
Speaking of crafts, the Eco Lilies Artisan Fayres are held regularly in the Casares Costa area. The next one is on Sunday 27th April, 11am to 3pm, in the Sunset Restaurant at the Casares Golf Club. Easy to find and less than a 5-minute drive up the MA8300 towards Casares from the A7.
I will not be attending this event myself but there will be a good variety of craft stalls, resin art, jewellery, tasty food plus much more for you to peruse and enjoy.
Wishing you all a very pleasant Easter Sunday.
