Be Different!
I have really enjoyed some fabulous days recently sharing my fused glass art techniques and ideas with various people.
Just 10 days ago a mother and her two daughters arrived at my home having never worked with glass before. Their achievements were outstanding! I was thrilled, they were thrilled – a brilliant day for us all.
They all made a large tealight display and all three pieces were totally different in design (I attached the tealight holder after the pieces were fired). Now they each have a pretty item that can sit on the dinner table inside or out. Or it can be placed anywhere where it will look delightful with a flickering candle lit behind it.
Plus, they all made a small picture, again with completely different designs. One picture was in wonderful warm Arabic colours of rusts, reds, cream and amber – so unusual and colours that I personally have never combined before on fused glass. The other pictures were of a black cat and flowers (now at home in the UK) and of a seahorse sitting prettily in some green water foliage, which will shortly be flying off to Holland! During the firing process I added hooks to the top, enabling each piece to be hung inside or out.
For me, it was such a pleasure to meet three delightful ladies who, with my guidance, were able to produce six totally different pieces of glass art and enjoy an amazing Fused Glass Art Experience Day together.
So, if you would like to try something different and rewarding by working with glass and making art pieces of your design and choice, please read more about my Experience Days here.
A Taster Day is approximately 3 hours whereas an Artistic Day (with lunch) is approximately 5½ hours. Refreshments are served throughout your time here.
