Sun, Sea, Ships
AT LAST! The sun is out and it seems as if it’s here to stay… what a long wait!
With the sun shining brightly, the beautiful blue sea glistening in the cloudless blue sky and the occasional boat or two sailing by, I have to look no further for inspiration for today’s blog - Sun, Sea and Ships!
Now and then I have a “smashing time” by accidentally dropping a lovely new fused glass art design by ValerieAnn on the tiled floor! Very frustrating and what a waste of time. Many tears have been shed but all is not lost – the broken pieces can be reused and refired to make something new!
So, I have just taken some suncatchers out of the kiln – two with small boats and one with fish. All really pretty and eye catching and made from broken pieces of glass 😊.
However, am I happy? No!!! Opps… I forgot to attach a top hook before firing them!
So now I have to fire them again, this time with a hook at the top so pretty ribbons can be attached to hang them up in the sunshine. To see them catching the strong sun rays really does give you a “sunshine moment”.
The suncatchers are shown below, without their hanging ribbons, alongside two boat fused glass art pieces, which I have used to make tealights.
Enjoy the sunshine.
